Place the visible seed into their palm and instruct them to close their fingers tightly around it, turning their hand over so they cannot see inside. Now, show your left hand completely empty. This illusion utilizes a very fine piece of clear nylon sewing thread or magician’s invisible thread, measuring about twelve inches long. Attach one end of the thread to a small piece of clear tape anchored behind your ear, and the other end to a tiny ball of adhesive putty tucked under your thumbnail. Pick up a lightweight, freshly fallen green leaf from the ground.Press the leaf gently onto the adhesive putty on your thumb while showcasing it to your audience. Slowly move your hands apart, allowing the leaf to slide off your thumb and hang suspended on the invisible thread between your hand and your head. Move your hands gracefully around the leaf, passing them above and below the floating greenery to prove there are no wires or sticks supporting it. By subtly moving your head back and forth, you can make the leaf dance, spin, and drift through the air like a true spirit of the spring season, before catching it safely back in your palm.

The Reappearing Robin brings this seasonal joy to life through a delightful paper-based illusion. Cut out a small, vibrant picture of a robin from a magazine or print one from a computer, and place it inside a brightly coloured spring greeting card. You will also need an identical duplicate picture of the robin hidden flat against the back of the card, held securely in place by your fingers. Show the inside of the card to the audience, revealing the paper bird resting peacefully in its illustrated nest.Close the card and blow a gentle breath across the paper, telling the audience that the bird is ready to take flight. Using a swift, practiced movement, slide the duplicate bird out from behind the card and let it drop into your hand, while simultaneously keeping the card closed. Announce that the robin has flown away.
